Every year on June 1st the nation of Mozambique celebrates Children's Day! Thousands of children come from surrounding villages to receive the love of Jesus in a way that looks like fun, games, and a feast of salad, rice, candy, and chicken. Before the meal, all of the kids danced, worshipped, and played games in the church. It's such a blessing to be able to provide this for our communities and this year we were able to serve over 7,000 children!
After all of our visiting children head home for the day with full tummies and happy hearts, we continue the celebration with our Iris Kids with gifts, games, a pool party, and lots of love from our whole Iris family! This year we celebrated with ice cream for dessert and a big bag of presents for each child. The kids even prepared dances and presentations to entertain everyone. We are so thankful to the Lord and all of our amazing friends around the world who make it possible for us to feed and love on thousands of children!
