Meet our Iris Matola Rio Base Director, Corrie, and the amazing children at the Matola Rio Center!
In October 2006 they opened their doors to underprivileged and HIV-Aids affected children in Maputo, Mozambique. Their close relationship with Maputo Hospital Central and Matola Provincial Hospital made it possible for them to care for and teach children how to manage their condition, overcome a destructive virus, and believe in tomorrow. Since then, hundreds of children have been served by their center and we have witnessed impressive results as children excel into adulthood as survivors! The Iris Matola Rio Base currently has 47 children living in full-time care.
